inZOI, the new life simulation game from Krafton, has achieved a remarkable milestone by selling 1 million copies within just one week of its Early Access launch on Steam. This impressive feat marks the fastest sales record for any game published by the South Korean giant, showcasing the high demand and interest in this title.

Launched on March 28, inZOI quickly made headlines after players discovered an unintended feature allowing them to harm children in the game. Krafton promptly addressed this issue, labeling it as an "unintended bug" and releasing a patch to rectify it. Despite this initial hiccup, the game has garnered a 'very positive' user review rating on Steam and reached a peak of 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, securing the third spot in the Games category. Remarkably, inZOI topped Steam's Global Top Sellers List just 40 minutes after its release.

The game's in-game user-generated content (UGC) platform, Canvas, also saw significant engagement with over 1.2 million participants and more than 470,000 pieces of content uploaded on launch day. This level of participation highlights the community's enthusiasm and creativity within the inZOI ecosystem.

IGN's Early Access review of inZOI awarded it a 6/10, commending its visual appeal and ambition but noting a lack of depth at this stage. Krafton attributes the game's success to its pre-launch promotional efforts and ongoing communication with the community, which have fostered trust and momentum.

CEO CH Kim expressed gratitude and excitement about presenting inZOI to players globally through Early Access, emphasizing Krafton's commitment to continuous player engagement and the development of inZOI as a long-term franchise IP.

Looking ahead, Krafton has promised future updates that will introduce new content, including mod support and new cities, with all updates and DLC being provided for free until the game's full release. In response to player feedback and reported issues, Krafton plans to implement quick fixes through hotfixes throughout April. The company acknowledges the scale of inZOI's global community as a "next-level experience" and admits to going through some "trial and error" in finding the best ways to communicate with players.
