Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Resolves Quest Issues, No Performance Boost Yet

Author : Jack Apr 21,2025

Capcom has released Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, bringing crucial improvements and fixes to enhance the gaming experience. This update addresses various progression blockers and resolves numerous bugs, although it does not include performance enhancements as detailed in the patch notes below.

Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, primarily due to performance issues on PC. However, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies within just three days, making it the fastest-selling Capcom game ever. It also achieved the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at 1,384,608 players, surpassing the peaks of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In comparison, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684 players.

A title update for Monster Hunter Wilds, slated for early April, will introduce a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting content for players to explore.

IGN's review of Monster Hunter Wilds awarded it an 8/10, stating, "Monster Hunter Wilds continues to smooth off the rougher corners of the series in smart ways, making for some extremely fun fights but also lacking any real challenge."
