Nightmare Echoes are enhanced versions of existing Echoes in Wuthering Waves, significantly impacting Resonator usage. Superior to standard Echoes, acquiring them is crucial for maximizing character potential. Obtaining and utilizing them is relatively straightforward, though defeating the Overlords that drop them can prove challenging depending on team strength. This guide explains Nightmare Echoes and their acquisition.
What are Nightmare Echoes?
Nightmare Echoes are alternative variants of standard 4-cost (Overlord-class) Echoes. They possess unique active skills and grant a percentage-based elemental damage boost, inherently surpassing standard Echoes in value. This passive elemental damage bonus allows them to replace a 3-cost Echo, facilitating a 441111 Echo composition.
Importantly, Nightmare Echoes retain the Sonata/Set effects of their regular counterparts, minimizing the need for build adjustments.
