The public test server for *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* is now live, offering an early glimpse at Update 7.0. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have released preliminary patch notes, noting that the final version may differ due to ongoing bug fixes. The PTS (PC only) introduces substantial changes.

Update 7.0 includes a new PvE mission, "Exfiltration," and the Inferno Pistol as a new secondary weapon for Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes. Endgame prestige ranks are added to PvE, alongside private PvP lobbies. Customization options expand with new colors (Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue), Bulwark cloth and hand recoloring, and a 50% increase in PvP customization rewards. New skins include an Imperial Fists Champion skin for the Tactical class and a Space Wolves Champion skin for the Vanguard class.

Significant balance changes are implemented, most notably an expanded weapon arsenal in PvE. All classes now have access to a wider weapon selection; the Assault class, for example, can finally wield the Power Sword without modifications. Weapon Perks Update

  • "Able Precision" (Artificer tier): duration effect increased from 5 to 10 seconds.

  • "Rampage" (Relic tier): duration effect increased from 5 to 10 seconds. Cooldown decreased from 30 to 15 seconds.
  • "Honed Precision" (Relic tier): Maximum Spread decreased by 25% to 50%.
  • "Chaos Eliminator" (Relic tier): Replaced with “Divine Might” (Damage increases by 10%).
  • "Tyranid Eliminator" (Relic tier): Replaced with “Cleaving Fire” (Shots will penetrate Block Stances, dealing 25% of the usual Damage).

Obelisk: Added a few new voiceovers to make the objectives in the final gameplay sequence clearer for players.

Inferno: Now, if a player reaches the assembly area in the final stage of the level, the other players will be forcefully teleported there after some time (they will receive a notification about the teleportation after 1:30 and will be teleported 15 seconds later)
