This guide details how to get the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance, sailing in Divinity: Original Sin 2 after escaping Fort Joy. The process involves a series of puzzles and interactions.

Quick Links

Getting Lady Vengeance underway requires exploring the ship, interacting with NPCs, and finding crucial items. The ultimate goal is to access Magister Dallis' cabin and obtain the Ancient Empire Songbook.

Investigate Dead Bodies

Start by searching the bodies of the deceased magisters and gheists on deck. A Sodden Diary, containing a password, is found on one of the bodies. You can also obtain the password by successfully completing a skill check with the northern stateroom door. Additionally, locate a Strange Gem; this is needed to interact with a specific door. A magic mirror nearby allows for respeccing characters.

Find the Portside Stateroom Door

Use the password from the diary to access the ship's quarters. Interact with the unconscious Bishop Alexander to find a Strange Gem within his regalia. Use this gem and the password ("Fortitude") on the southern stateroom door to enter Magister Dallis' cabin. This cabin also contains a hidden hatch with two gheists and a Teleportation Prism.

Find the Ancient Empire Songbook

Inside Dallis' cabin, speak to Tarquin and Dallis, exhausting their dialogue options. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on a pedestal. Reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak with all NPCs before proceeding, as interactions become unavailable once the ship sets sail.

Set Sail

Go to the ship's deck and tell Malady you found the songbook. She'll ask you to sing to the ship. Find the dragon figurine on the west side of the deck and use it to sing the song. Lady Vengeance will begin to move. Be prepared for an immediate ambush by powerful magisters following this event. Ensure your party is adequately prepared for a challenging battle.
