Immersive Lovecraftian Puzzle Game "My Father Lied" Debuts on Android

In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique title can be a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative and intriguing gameplay. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure offers a captivating story that sets it apart from the crowd.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, wasn't initially aiming for a career in game development. In 2020, he was establishing himself as a writer and filmmaker. A collaborative game project with a college friend fizzled, but the story remained. Alameen, driven by his vision, independently learned 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, ultimately bringing his concept to life. Even the game's title resulted from a collaborative brainstorming session with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery

My Father Lied plunges players into a mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and surprises. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: What happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

Drawing inspiration from 7000 years of Mesopotamian culture, the game blends ancient lore with modern storytelling. The puzzles are user-friendly, utilizing a simple point-and-click interface, complemented by stunning 2D visuals and 360-degree imagery.
