Piston requires a separate ELM327-based Bluetooth or WiFi adapter. It's compatible with OBD-II (OBDII, OBD2), and EOBD standards. OBD2 is mandated for US vehicles since 1996. In the EU, EOBD became mandatory for petrol cars in 2001 and diesel cars in 2004. Australia and New Zealand adopted OBD2 for petrol cars from 2006 and diesel cars from 2007.
Important: Piston only accesses data your vehicle provides through the OBD2 standard.
