Marvel Snap's Latest Card: Victoria Hand Deck Strategies and Viability

Despite the ongoing popularity of Pokemon TCG Pocket, Marvel Snap continues to introduce new cards at a rapid pace. This month brings Iron Patriot, the season pass card, and its synergistic partner, Victoria Hand. This guide explores the best Victoria Hand decks currently available in Marvel Snap.

Victoria Hand: How She Works

Victoria Hand is a 2-cost, 3-power card with the ongoing ability: “Your cards created in your hand have +2 Power.”

This ability is simple yet effective: it functions similarly to Cerebro, but only for cards generated in your hand, not your deck. This is crucial, as it means cards like Arishem (despite repeated nerfs) won't benefit.

Excellent synergies exist with cards such as Maria Hill, Sentinel, Agent Coulson, and the newly released Iron Patriot. Be aware that in the initial weeks after her release, expect opponents to utilize Rogues and Enchantresses to counter her effect. Her 2-cost Ongoing nature allows for strategic late-game deployment.

Top Victoria Hand Decks (Day One)

Victoria Hand's strongest synergy is undoubtedly with Iron Patriot, the season pass card. It's highly unlikely you'll see one used without the other. This combination has the potential to revitalize older Devil Dinosaur decks. Here's an example:

  • Maria Hill
  • Quinjet
  • Hydra Bob
  • Hawkeye
  • Kate Bishop
  • Iron Patriot
  • Sentinel
  • Victoria Hand
  • Mystique
  • Agent Coulson
  • Shang-Chi
  • Wiccan
  • Devil Dinosaur

Beyond Iron Patriot and Victoria Hand, this deck utilizes Series 5 cards like Hydra Bob, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, and Wiccan. Hydra Bob can be substituted with a comparable 1-cost card like Nebula, but Kate Bishop and Wiccan are key components.

The synergy with Sentinel is particularly potent. A single Victoria Hand boosts generated Sentinels to 2-cost, 5-power cards. Combining this with Mystique transforms them into 7-power cards. Adding a Quinjet allows for consistent 1-cost, 7-power Sentinel plays each turn. Wiccan provides further late-game power boosts, potentially enabling a final-turn play of Devil Dinosaur, Victoria Hand, and a Sentinel. If Wiccan's effect isn't triggered, a Devil Dinosaur play in a separate lane, potentially mirrored by Mystique, serves as a viable alternative.

Another deck utilizing Victoria Hand is built around the often-reviled Arishem, even though she doesn't directly affect cards added to the deck:

  • Hawkeye
  • Kate Bishop
  • Sentinel
  • Valentina
  • Agent Coulson
  • Doom 2099
  • Galactus
  • Daughter of Galactus
  • Nick Fury
  • Legion
  • Doctor Doom
  • Alioth
  • Mockingbird
  • Arishem

This deck leverages the random card generation inherent in Arishem (despite his nerf delaying extra energy until turn 3). Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Sentinel, Valentina, Agent Coulson, and Nick Fury all generate cards that benefit from Victoria Hand's presence. While cards starting in your deck don't receive the power boost, the deck still generates sufficient board presence. Even after the nerf, Arishem remains a meta-defining deck, and this variant relies on unpredictable card generation to keep opponents guessing.

Is Victoria Hand Worth the Investment?

Victoria Hand is a valuable addition for players who enjoy hand-generation strategies, especially when paired with Iron Patriot. Her powerful effect will likely see continued use in meta decks, but she isn't a must-have card that defines a collection. Skipping her won't significantly hinder long-term progress.

However, considering the relatively weaker cards slated for release later this month, investing resources in Victoria Hand might be more worthwhile than waiting for future releases.
