Victoria Hand: Mastering Marvel Snap's Newest Powerhouse
Marvel Snap's 2025 Spotlight Cache introduces Victoria Hand, an Ongoing card boosting the power of cards generated within your hand. While primarily associated with card-generation decks, Victoria Hand surprisingly excels in discard strategies as well. This guide details two effective Victoria Hand decks, one for each archetype, ensuring you're ready for the current metagame.
Victoria Hand (2-3): Ongoing: Cards created in your hand gain +2 Power.
Optimal Victoria Hand Deck (Card Generation)
This deck leverages Victoria Hand's synergy with Devil Dinosaur. The core combo is enhanced by: Quinjet, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Cosmo, The Collector, Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl.
Card | Cost | Power |
---|---|---|
Victoria Hand | 2 | 3 |
Devil Dinosaur | 5 | 3 |
The Collector | 2 | 2 |
Quinjet | 1 | 2 |
Agent Coulson | 3 | 4 |
Agent 13 | 1 | 2 |
Mirage | 2 | 2 |
Frigga | 3 | 4 |
Kate Bishop | 2 | 3 |
Moon Girl | 4 | 5 |
Valentina | 2 | 3 |
Cosmo | 3 | 3 |
Flexible slots (Agent 13, Kate Bishop, Frigga) can be substituted with Iron Patriot, Mystique, or Speed.
Synergies:
- Victoria Hand empowers cards generated in your hand.
- Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl are your card generators. Frigga and Moon Girl also duplicate key cards for extra buffs or disruption.
- Quinjet reduces the cost of generated cards.
- The Collector's power increases with each generated card.
- Cosmo protects your Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand lane from enemy attacks.
- Devil Dinosaur is your win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or with multiple generated cards in hand.
Note: There are reports of Victoria Hand potentially buffing enemy-generated cards or cards that change locations. This may be a bug or an unclarified feature; the card text needs clarification.
Effective Victoria Hand Gameplay (Card Generation)
- Energy Management: Balance card generation and energy spending. Aim for a full hand for maximum Devil Dinosaur growth, but also maintain space for generation and Victoria's effect. Skipping turns to maintain a full hand is sometimes crucial.
- Strategic Deception: Use generated joker cards strategically to mislead your opponent and mask your next move.
- Lane Protection: Protect your Victoria Hand lane. Play Devil Dinosaur and Victoria in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and defend with Cosmo to counter tech cards like Enchantress.
Alternative Victoria Hand Deck (Discard)
Victoria Hand also thrives in discard decks. Pair her with: Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.
Card | Cost | Power |
---|---|---|
Victoria Hand | 2 | 3 |
Helicarrier | 6 | 10 |
Morbius | 2 | 0 |
Lady Sif | 3 | 5 |
Scorn | 1 | 2 |
Blade | 1 | 3 |
Corvus Glaive | 3 | 5 |
Colleen Wing | 2 | 4 |
Apocalypse | 6 | 8 |
Swarm | 2 | 3 |
The Collector | 2 | 2 |
MODOK | 5 | 8 |
Countering Victoria Hand
Super Skrull is an effective counter. Doctor Doom 2099 decks (which Skrull also counters) are also prevalent, making Skrull a strong tech card. Shadow King removes Victoria's buffs in one lane, and Enchantress disables Ongoing effects entirely. Valkyrie can disrupt power distribution in key lanes.
Is Victoria Hand Worth It?
Yes. Victoria Hand offers a strong return on investment, whether acquired through the Spotlight Cache or Tokens. Her consistent buffs and adaptability to multiple archetypes make her a valuable addition to any player's collection. While somewhat reliant on RNG, her permanent buffs enable consistent deck building.
