This is a portable media player that also functions as a UPnP DLNA DMR (digital media renderer). It supports SSA/ASS/SUP subtitles and allows users to add or manage font files. SSA/ASS subtitles can be dimmed to enhance visibility during HDR and DV playback. The font size is adjustable.
This media player supports UPnP DLNA, enabling it to be used as a DMR. It accesses files via SAF (Storage Access Framework), providing user-controlled access.
Subtitles in SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) formats are also supported (from version 5.1 onwards). All subtitles can be embedded in MKV files or side-loaded. Users can select and apply a single subtitle file or a package in Zip/7Z/RAR format during playback.
The player supports HDR/DV content, digital audio passthrough, MKV chapters navigation, frame-by-frame stepping, audio track selection and delay, subtitle selection and time offset. It also displays frame rate and auto-adjusts refresh rate. Dolby Vision playback on NVidia Shield TV 2019 is successful. Videos can be rotated on demand and zoomed in full screen by pinching.
This player was initially designed for segmented file playback in m3u8 (HLS media list) format, which was originally intended for TS files but now supports mp4 and flv files as well.
