Back up and clear your data: First, back up your WhatsApp messages if you want to keep them. Then, delete your WhatsApp user data (or simply reinstall the app).

/sdcard/WhatsAppdirectory to/sdcard/OGWhatsApp. An Android file manager can do this, but it's often easier from a Windows PC. -
Verify your numbers: Verify your old number in OGWhatsApp, then verify your new number in the standard WhatsApp app. That's all there is to it!
