De Game Awards 2024: een blik op de genomineerden
De Game Awards 2024, gepresenteerd door Geoff Keighley, heeft de genomineerden in 19 categorieën bekendgemaakt, met als hoogtepunt de felbegeerde Game of the Year (GOTY)-prijs. De kanshebbers van dit jaar vertegenwoordigen een breed scala aan titels, die de breedte en diepte van de game-industrie laten zien.
GOTY 2024 Showdown: Een strijd om Titans
De race om GOTY is dit jaar bijzonder hevig, waarbij verschillende zware spelers strijden om de eerste plaats. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is koploper met meerdere nominaties, terwijl andere kanshebbers onder meer de veelgeprezen Astro Bot, de indiesensatie Balatro, het visueel verbluffende Black Myth: Wukong, het langverwachte Metaphor: ReFantazio en de verdeeldheid zaaiende Elden Ring-uitbreiding Elden Ring: Shadow zijn. van de Erdboom.

Fans kunnen deelnemen aan het vormgeven van de uitkomst door op hun favorieten te stemmen op de officiële website van The Game Awards en de Discord-server. Stemmen is nu mogelijk tot 11 december.
De grote onthulling: 12 december
De winnaars worden live bekendgemaakt op 12 december in het Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. De ceremonie wordt wereldwijd gestreamd via de website van The Game Awards, Twitch, TikTok, YouTube en andere platforms.
