Zenless Zone Zero Tier List: December 24, 2024

HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique abilities and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in version 1.0, reflecting the current meta. Note that tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new releases and meta shifts. For example, while Grace was initially a top performer, the introduction of powerful Anomaly units like Miyabi has diminished her relevance.

S-Tier

S-Tier Agents S-Tier Agents are top-performing units excelling in their roles and synergizing effectively within teams.

  • Miyabi: Miyabi's swift Frost attacks and substantial damage output make her a standout performer. While requiring strategic play, mastering her abilities allows for devastating battlefield dominance.

Miyabi

  • Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, Jane Doe's critical hit potential on Assault Anomalies delivers significantly higher damage. Despite the inherent slower pace of Anomaly DPS, her potent Assault capabilities place her among the top-tier Agents alongside Zhu Yuan and Ellen.

Jane Doe

  • Yanagi: Yanagi excels at triggering Disorder, activating the effect without needing Shock alongside other Anomalies. Her ability to trigger Disorder on any Anomaly-affected enemy makes her an ideal partner for Miyabi.

Yanagi

  • Zhu Yuan: A high-damage DPS Agent, Zhu Yuan's Shotshells deal rapid damage. She pairs well with Stun and Support characters; in version 1.1, her optimal teammates are Qingyi and Nicole, who provide crucial stun support and Ether damage boosts.

Zhu Yuan

  • Caesar: Caesar redefines the Defensive Agent role. Beyond exceptional protection, she offers significant buffs and debuffs, scaling with Impact for easy enemy stuns and crowd control.

Caesar

  • Qingyi: A versatile Stunner, Qingyi fits into any squad with an Attack Agent. Her fluid movements and rapid Daze buildup, coupled with a substantial damage multiplier against stunned enemies, make her a valuable asset. However, she doesn't surpass Lycaon in Ellen teams due to Lycaon's additional Ice-elemental effects.

Qingyi

  • Lighter: Lighter's kit provides significant buffs, making him particularly effective with Fire and Ice characters.

Lighter

  • Lycaon: Lycaon's Ice-based stun capabilities, particularly his charged attacks, enhance Anomaly reactions. His ability to reduce Ice resistance and increase Daze DMG makes him essential for Ice teams.

Lycaon

  • Ellen: Ellen's Ice-elemental attacks synergize exceptionally with Lycaon and Soukaku, delivering powerful hits, especially with her EX Special Attacks and Ultimates.

Ellen

  • Harumasa: An initially free S-Rank Electric-Attack Agent, Harumasa requires specific build optimization to unleash his full potential.

Harumasa

  • Soukaku: A Support Agent who buffs Ice Anomalies, synergizing well with Ice units like Ellen and Lycaon.

Soukaku

  • Rina: Rina provides PEN (defense ignore) buffs and deals significant damage, excelling with Electric characters due to her Shock Anomaly generation and buffs.

A-Tier

A-Tier Agents A-Tier Agents are strong in specific team compositions but generally perform well in their roles.

  • Nicole: An Ether Support Agent who pulls enemies into energy fields and boosts Ether DMG while shredding enemy DEF. Her effectiveness is primarily limited to Ether DPS units.

Nicole

  • Seth: A supportive Shielder, effective but not as impactful as top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar, particularly for Anomaly DPS.

Seth

  • Lucy: A Support Agent providing off-field DMG and ATK% buffs, with increased DPS when synergizing with other Agents.

Lucy

  • Piper: While primarily reliant on her EX Special Attack, Piper's Assault Anomaly generation and high damage output remain valuable, especially in Anomaly-focused teams.

Piper

  • Grace: A strong Anomaly Agent, particularly effective at Shocking enemies and triggering Disorder in teams with other Anomaly-building characters; however, newer Anomaly Agents have reduced her overall ranking.

Grace

  • Koleda: A reliable Fire/Stun Agent, fitting into teams with other Fire characters. Her synergy with Ben enhances her moveset.

Koleda

  • Anby: A reliable Stun unit with quick and effective combos; however, she's easily interrupted compared to other Stun Agents.

Anby

  • Soldier 11: A straightforward high-damage Fire-infused Attack Agent.

Soldier 11

B-Tier

B-Tier Agents B-Tier Agents offer some utility but are outperformed by others in their respective roles.

  • Ben: The only Defensive Agent in version 1.0, offering parry and punish mechanics but lacking team-wide benefits outside of a Crit Rate buff.

Ben

  • Nekomata: An AoE Attack Agent whose damage output relies heavily on team synergy, currently hampered by limited supportive options within her Element and Faction.

Nekomata

C-Tier

C-Tier Agents C-Tier Agents currently offer limited value compared to other available Agents.

  • Corin: A Physical Attack Agent whose damage excels against stunned enemies but is outperformed by other Physical Attack and Anomaly Agents.

Corin

  • Billy: An Attack Agent with limited damage output despite high attack frequency.

Billy

  • Anton: An Electric Attack Agent with an interesting Shock-triggering Core Skill, but hampered by low DPS and single-target focus.
