Xbox Game Pass Welcomes a Snowy Addition and More in January 2025
Get ready for some exciting additions to your Xbox Game Pass subscription! Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a thrilling skiing game featuring co-op and PvP modes, drops into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on January 21st as a day-one title. This marks a welcome boost to the initial, somewhat sparse, January 2025 Game Pass offerings.
While the first half of January saw primarily existing titles shifting tiers, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, along with other notable additions like Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Game Pass Ultimate), provide a much-needed injection of new content.
The second half of January is shaping up to be even better. Following Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will also receive:
- Eternal Strands: A captivating action-adventure game with strong Zelda influences, launching January 28th.
- Sniper Elite: Resistance: Another day-one title arriving January 30th.
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector: Rounding out the month on January 31st with yet another day-one release.
This wave of day-one games, all initially exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, promises a thrilling end to January. Eternal Strands, in particular, stands out, developed by Yellow Brick Games and helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw.
Looking ahead to February, the lineup currently appears less substantial. Avowed is confirmed for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on February 18th, but further details remain scarce. Until then, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the exciting array of January's day-one releases, including Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders and the intriguing Eternal Strands.
