Jingle Hells in Black Ops 6 Zombies: Weapon Upgrades, Ammo Mods, and Support
The festive Jingle Hells mode in Black Ops 6 Zombies offers a holiday makeover of Liberty Falls, but with a twist: progression and upgrades work differently. This guide details how to upgrade weapons, obtain Ammo Mods, and acquire equipment and support.
Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells
Unlike the standard Black Ops 6 Zombies mode, the Arsenal Machine is absent in Jingle Hells. Weapon upgrades rely on Aether Tools, consumable items with varying rarity levels (color-coded). Using an Aether Tool upgrades your weapon to that rarity tier (e.g., a Purple/Legendary Aether Tool grants Legendary rarity). Here's how to obtain them:
- Church Spire: Throw a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The head's destruction releases zombies that drop loot, including Aether Tools. Higher rounds yield higher rarity Aether Tools.
- Bank Vault: Loot Keys open safety deposit boxes in the Bank Vault, which may contain Aether Tools of varying rarities.
- S.A.M. Trials: Completing S.A.M. Trials, aiming for the highest reward tier, offers a chance to acquire Aether Tools.
- Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrades your weapon to Legendary rarity.
- Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as rounds progress.
Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells
Currently, only the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is available in Jingle Hells. It drops as a consumable item. The primary method of obtaining it is through Holiday Presents, which contain random loot with higher rarity chances in later rounds. Holiday Presents are obtained in several ways:
- Enemy Kills: They occasionally drop upon enemy elimination.
- Naughty or Nice Power-up: This power-up grants either a "Nice" or "Naughty" UI banner. "Nice" yields multiple Holiday Presents, while "Naughty" spawns numerous vermin enemies.
- S.A.M. Machine: The S.A.M. Machine spawns several Holiday Presents upon its appearance.
Equipment and Support in Jingle Hells
The Workbench is also absent in Jingle Hells, eliminating Salvage-based equipment crafting and Support items like Chopper Gunners, Mutant Injections, or Self Revives. However, they can still be obtained:
- Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemy kills.
- Holiday Presents: Can contain equipment.
- Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these enemies.
- S.A.M. Trials: Award equipment and Support.
- Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: May contain equipment and Support.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
