World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token for every 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch's release.

The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding after 11 weeks, allowed players to acquire numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary collectibles. Any remaining tokens could be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, crucial for Timewalking events.

Blizzard confirmed that Bronze Celebration Tokens, rendered obsolete after the event's January 7th end, will not be used again. This automatic conversion in Patch 11.1 prevents players from retaining useless currency entries.

While a release date for Patch 11.1 remains unannounced, February 25th is a strong contender, aligning with Blizzard's recent update schedule and following the conclusion of the Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events (ending February 17th and 24th respectively). This timing means the conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes.

Timewarped Badges, obtained from the conversion, can be used in various Timewalking campaigns, with no planned removal of purchasable rewards. Players can therefore stockpile their badges for future events.
