A character's karma determines their fate after death: peaceful transition to the afterlife or a ghostly existence among the living. Ghosts, needing to accrue missing karma points, must ultimately resolve their unfinished business to move on.
While the early access version features ghosts, player control over them is a later addition. Kim emphasizes InZOI's focus on realism, keeping paranormal elements subtle. However, he suggests the possibility of future expansions incorporating additional unexplained phenomena.
