Marvel Snap's Amazing Spider-Season Swings into Action!
September brings a thrilling new season to Marvel Snap (Free), themed around everyone's favorite web-slinger and his allies! This season introduces a game-changing mechanic: Activate abilities. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities let you choose when to trigger their effects, adding a strategic layer to gameplay.
The Season Pass card, Symbiote Spider-Man (4-Cost, 6-Power), perfectly embodies this new mechanic. His Activate ability lets you absorb the lowest-cost card at a location and copy its effects, even retriggering On Reveal abilities! Expect some crazy combos, especially with cards like Galactus.
This season also introduces several exciting new cards:
- Silver Sable: (1-Cost, 1-Power) On Reveal: Steals 2 Power from the top card of your opponent's deck. A strong standalone card and a valuable addition to specific deck strategies.
- Madame Web: (Ongoing): Allows you to move one card at her location to another location once per turn. A powerful tool for manipulating the board.
- Arana: (1-Cost, 1-Power) Activate: Moves the next card you play to the right and gives it +2 Power. A key card for move-based decks.
- Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): (4-Cost, 5-Power) Activate: Spawns an identical clone at another location. Prepare for power duplication!
Two new locations further enhance the strategic depth:
- Brooklyn Bridge: You can't play cards here on consecutive turns, demanding creative placement strategies.
- Otto's Lab: Your next played card here pulls a card from your opponent's hand onto the location, introducing an element of surprise.
