Stellar Blade substantially boosted its player count by 40% following its summer update released last July 25. This update comprised bug fixes, new outfits, and a limited-time event.

TrueTrophies' collaboration with GameInsights granted them access to a sample dataset of over 3.1 million active PSN accounts. This enabled them to monitor player engagement across all PS5 and PS4 games. Leveraging this data, they determined that Stellar Blade's player count substantially rose by 40.14% after its summer update launch.

It's also noteworthy that Stellar Blade wasn't discounted on the PS store last week, suggesting the player count surge is primarily due to new content. Despite lacking the highly anticipated photo mode and the temporary nature of the update, the increase is substantial enough to rekindle fan enthusiasm.

The Stellar Blade summer update introduced a limited-time summer vacation zone in the Great Desert Oasis, featuring new background music and sunbed interactions. Two thematic outfits were also added, available at Clyde's shop. It also resolved several problems, including a fix for the hair color in the Boss Challenge Preset, and other bug fixes.

Stellar Blade launched exclusively on PS5 last April 26, 2024. The game garnered positive reception from players and critics alike for its rapid-paced combat and impressive visuals.
