Acquiring the Preserves Jar
The Preserves Jar, essential for jelly-making, is obtained in two ways:
- Farming Level 4: Reaching this level unlocks the recipe.
- Quality Crops Bundle: Completing this Community Center bundle (requiring three gold-quality crops – pumpkins, melons, corn, or parsnips – with five of each selected crop) rewards a Preserves Jar.
Once acquired, the jar allows for the creation of various preserves, including Spice Berry Jelly. Spice Berries are found in the Summer season outdoors, the Farm Cave (any season), or grown from Summer Seeds in the Greenhouse.
Crafting Spice Berry Jelly
The process is straightforward:
- Gather Spice Berries: Collect them from the locations mentioned above. Seed Makers can create Summer Seeds from Spice Berries for future planting.
- Construct (if needed): Crafting the Preserves Jar requires 50 Wood, 40 Stone, and 8 Coal.
- Create the Jelly: Place a Spice Berry into the Preserves Jar. Production takes approximately two to three in-game days (54 hours). Begin the process before extended periods of inactivity for optimal efficiency. The jar will pulse while the jelly is being made.
- Harvest: Once complete, the Spice Berry Jelly icon appears above the jar, signaling it's ready for collection. Sell it for 160 gold or consume it to restore energy.
