Star Trek's resurgence since 2017's Star Trek: Discovery has been phenomenal, culminating in the recent Paramount+ release of Star Trek: Section 31. While opinions on the latter may be divided, the franchise boasts some truly exceptional modern entries.
Given the varied reception of shows like Section 31 and the critical acclaim of Strange New Worlds, we invite you to rank all modern Star Trek series. We're including Section 31 (despite its film format) as it originated as a series concept.
Create your own tier list below and compare it to the IGN community's rankings. Do you concur with Strange New Worlds' top spot? Does Discovery deserve a higher ranking than its current placement? The decision is yours!
Modern Era Star Trek Series Rankings
Personally, I found Picard's third season a significant improvement, redeeming the shortcomings of its predecessors, warranting an "A" rating. Prodigy, a delightful surprise and, arguably, an unsought Voyager sequel, earns at least a "B" in my book.
My personal tier list is shown below. Following this, you can find viewing order suggestions for the modern Star Trek series, updates on the live-action comedy and Starfleet Academy series, and an analysis of the Star Trek 4 situation.
