Top Spring 2025 Anime Recommendations

I've highlighted ***The Apothecary Diaries, Once Upon A Witch’s Death, The Beginning After The End, To Be Hero X***, and ***WITCH WATCH*** in my roundup of Spring 2025 anime dubs coming to Crunchyroll, but there are several other great picks that you should consider adding to your watch list.

***Devil May Cry*** is Netflix's latest animated adaptation of a beloved video game series. With a trailer featuring Limp Bizkit and a new Evanescence track, it's clear the creators are aiming for a specific tone that resonates with fans. Adi Shankar, known for *Castlevania* and *Guardians of Justice*, along with Studio Mir, the team behind *Avatar: The Last Airbender* and *Korra*, are bringing their expertise to this project. Even if you're new to the *Devil May Cry* universe, fans of action-packed series like *Trigun* will find Dante's adventures thrilling.

***Moonrise*** is a unique offering where the moon seeks independence. This ONA boasts an impressive team, including WIT Studio (*Attack On Titan, Vinland Saga*), character designs by Hiromu Arakawa (*Fullmetal Alchemist*), and direction by Masashi Koizuka (*Attack On Titan* Seasons 2 & 3). Despite the limited information about the plot, the anticipation is high for this special project.

***YAIBA: Samurai Legends*** is a revival of a beloved manga from the late 1980s by Gosho Aoyama, the creator of *Case Closed*. This samurai comedy follows Yaiba Kurogane as he battles his arch-nemesis with a magical katana and a demon army. With Aoyama's hands-on approach and WIT Studio's animation, this series promises a blend of humor and action reminiscent of *Detective Conan* and early *Dragon Ball*.
