Avowed Sargamis BattleRefusing to give Sargamis the splinter triggers a fight. He becomes a challenging early-game boss, summoning spirit creatures and employing swift, powerful attacks. What Happens If You Give the Splinter of Eothas to Sargamis in Avowed?

Avowed Sargamis StatueAfter agreeing to give the splinter, you face two main choices (plus a third if you change your mind, resulting in combat). You can persuade him to place himself in the statue, killing him and yielding the Last Light of Day mace. Alternatively, you can offer yourself to the statue, leading to further branching paths. Choosing to stand in the circle results in death but unlocks the "Get In The Statue, Envoy" achievement. Leaving the circle after Sargamis instructs you to stand still provokes an attack.

How To Finish Dawntreader Without Killing Sargamis in Avowed

Avowed Sargamis ConversationThe optimal approach involves convincing Sargamis his plan is flawed. This requires an Intellect stat of 4 or higher. Place the splinter in the statue beforehand, activate the machine, and then speak with Sargamis. Convincing him leads to him abandoning his plan. Specific backgrounds like Court Augur and Arcane Scholar may offer unique dialogue options to achieve this. Avoid the intellect option regarding live soul transfer. After Sargamis leaves, choose to either allow the voice to use the statue or destroy it yourself. Finally, speak with Sargamis in his quarters to complete the quest, earning more experience than through combat or simply handing over the splinter.
