The Last of Us Part 2 PC specs:
Moving on to No Return mode, two new characters, Bill and Marlene from The Last of Us Part I, are being added. Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle, allowing access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and receiving double rewards from drops. He's stronger against melee attacks but cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, features a "Risk Taker" playstyle with a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.
Four new maps are also being introduced to No Return mode:
- Overlook: Set high above Seattle with verticality, reminiscent of a Seraphites encounter in the campaign.
- School: An abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F.
- Streets: Set in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
- Nest: Familiar to players who have played as Abby through an Infected-infested building.
All the new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.
In line with Sony's recent policy change regarding PlayStation Network requirements, The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC features an optional PSN log-in. Logging in to PSN grants access to the PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies. Additionally, players who sign in with their PSN account will receive 50 in-game points to activate bonus features and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s new PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Earlier this month, The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann shared insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which has been in development for four years. In an interview with Alex Garland, Druckmann discussed the creative decisions behind The Last of Us 2 and the new direction with Intergalactic, a game centered around themes of faith and religion. Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet stars Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun and is set in an alternate historical timeline with a prominent, evolving religion.
The PC version of The Last of Us 2 Remastered arrives just before Season 2 of HBO's hit TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted from Season 1.
