Choosing the right character build at the start of a game can be tricky. Respeccing lets you correct those early-game mishaps. Whether you initially envisioned a powerful wizard but found yourself struggling, or simply want to experiment with different playstyles, respeccing is your solution. I, for one, started as a full wizard in Avowed, only to switch to a spellsword build later on for better combat effectiveness. Respeccing allows you to create the perfect build and maximize your effectiveness in battle.
How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed
To respec your abilities, open the in-game menu and navigate to the "Abilities" section. Near the bottom, you'll find a "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with further use. Select the option, confirm your choice, and pay the displayed price. This resets all ability points across all skill trees except the "Godlike" tree, whose abilities are acquired through in-game choices and cannot be respecced.
How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed
Happy with your abilities but not your attributes? Or perhaps you want a complete overhaul? Navigate to the "Character" section of the menu. At the bottom, below the attribute listings, you'll see a button to reset your attribute points. Similar to ability respeccing, this costs 100 Copper Skeyt initially, with the cost increasing subsequently. Hit the button, pay the price, and redistribute your attribute points.
How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed
To respec your companion's abilities, open the menu and go to the "Abilities" section, then select the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll find a button to respec their abilities for a cost in Copper Skeyt. Click the button and confirm your choice. Note that each companion must be respecced individually.
