Get ready for some thrilling updates in Pokémon TCG Pocket! Trading is finally making its way into the game, and alongside it, the much-anticipated Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Soon, you'll have the ability to trade cards with your friends directly within the game, enhancing your Pokémon TCG experience.
When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?
Mark your calendars for January 29th, 2025, when trading becomes available in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will hit the scene. This update not only introduces trading but also refreshes your digital binder and display board with new covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.
The trade feature, eagerly awaited by fans, requires two new items to facilitate exchanges: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that you can only trade cards with rarity levels from 1-4 and ★1. Currently, trading is limited to cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised to include more tradeable cards in future updates.
The Space-Time Smackdown expansion dives deep into the Sinnoh region, bringing with it two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Alongside stunning new card illustrations, you can look forward to featuring the powerful Lucario and the beloved Sinnoh starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.
