What's the Pokémon GO Safari Ball?
Veteran Pokémon players will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games. These special areas allowed catching rare Pokémon without battles. Niantic is recreating this experience with the new Wild Area event.
Pokémon GO hasn't introduced many new Poké Balls. Regularly used balls include the standard Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball. Then there are Premier Balls, and the rarest, the Master Ball.
The Wild Area event runs globally from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024, concluding at 6:15 pm local time. Important: Unused Safari Balls vanish from your inventory after the event ends.
During the event, the Safari Ball will be key for catching powerful Pokémon. It's interesting that Niantic isn't releasing these in Pokémon GO Safari Zone or City Safari events, opting for a new event launch instead.
