Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

Author : Mila Mar 21,2025

Get ready for the Bug Out event in Pokémon Go, returning from March 26th to 30th! This event introduces Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch, alongside a surge of Bug-type Pokémon. Expect exciting wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges.

Lure Modules are key during this event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but catching enough Pokémon at a single PokéStop using a Lure Module will significantly increase the number of Pokémon appearing there. Trainers will also enjoy 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased Candy XL chances for those level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your chances of finding Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are boosted.

Expect a flurry of Bug-type Pokémon in the wild, including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, Nymble, and even the rare Cutiefly.

One-star raids feature Sizzlipede, Scyther, and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor dominate three-star raids. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks for Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

A free Timed Research opportunity offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module. A paid Timed Research option ($2 or local equivalent) provides encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, along with two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges reward Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases highlight event Pokémon. Don't forget to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket!
