Dustbunny: Emotion to Plants: A Therapeutic Mobile Game for Emotional Well-being

Dustbunny: Emotion to Plants, a new Android game, offers a charming yet profound experience by addressing often-overlooked emotional issues. Guided by Empathy, a friendly rabbit, players embark on a journey of self-discovery within their own mental landscape.

Developed by Antientropic, this therapeutic simulation game blends cozy room decorating with a unique emotional exploration. The game's creative director drew inspiration from their personal experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Key Features of Dustbunny: Emotion to Plants:

Starting in a serene, abandoned room, players capture "emotibuns," tiny creatures representing hidden emotions. Nurturing these emotibuns transforms them into beautiful plants, symbolically illuminating the player's inner world. The room gradually fills with diverse flora, including monsteras, philodendrons, alocasias, and rare hybrids, mirroring the player's progress.

The game features various mini-games and activities to enhance the connection with the personal sanctuary and its plants. These include paper airplane flying, customizing Cup Ramyun flavors, and playing a retro Game Boy game. These activities provide energy and collectibles to aid plant growth and care, utilizing over 20 care cards for actions like watering, misting, and observation.

A Personal and Social Experience:

The "Doors" feature allows players to personalize their in-game door with symbols and stickers reflecting their journey. Visiting other players' doors enables sharing experiences and leaving encouraging messages.

Empathy's guidance incorporates elements of compassion-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques, encouraging self-care, self-acceptance, and self-love. The game offers stickers and designs for expressing thoughts in a calming and fun way.
