Supercell, the Finnish game developer, has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed a revitalized project: Project R.I.S.E.
The Full Story:
Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, Supercell is not abandoning the concept entirely. Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite, will inherit the spirit of Clash Heroes, but with significant changes. It's a fresh start, set within the familiar Clash universe.
Supercell's announcement video features game lead Julien Le Cadre, who frankly states the cancellation of Clash Heroes, but emphasizes that Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG.
For more details, watch the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. will share similarities with Clash Heroes, but it's a completely rebuilt game. Players will team up in groups of three to conquer The Tower, a mysterious location with procedurally generated floors. The focus shifts from solo PvE to cooperative gameplay with a diverse roster of characters.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
