Netflix is adapting the acclaimed video game Sifu into a feature film. The project, initially announced in 2022 and spearheaded by Story Kitchen and Sloclap (the game's developer), has expanded its production team.

T.S. Nowlin, screenwriter for the Maze Runner series and Netflix's Project Adam, has joined to write the screenplay. While Derek Kolstad's involvement remains uncertain, Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick franchise, and his company 87Eleven Entertainment will serve as executive producers. Stahelski is also attached to the Ghost of Tsushima film adaptation.
Sifu, released in 2022, achieved over one million sales in its first three weeks. The game follows a martial artist's quest for revenge after their master's death, utilizing a mystical pendant for resurrection at the cost of accelerated aging. The protagonist's journey is fraught with peril and mystery.
