Monster Hunter Wilds is giving players another shot at its Open Beta! Missed the first one? This second beta offers improved features and a new monster to hunt. Here's how to join the action.

New Monster, New Hunt

A second Open Beta Test for Monster Hunter Wilds is confirmed for the first two weeks of February! Following the success of the initial beta, this second phase gives players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, it includes new content, notably the addition of Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series.

Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, although progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.

"We know many missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is hard at work finalizing the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed planned improvements, these won't be included in this beta.
