Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

Author : Layla Mar 06,2025

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test by 24 hours following a PlayStation Network outage. The outage, lasting approximately 24 hours starting Friday, February 7th, at 3 PM PT, impacted online gameplay for PlayStation users. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

The Monster Hunter Wilds beta, highly anticipated and popular, was significantly affected, curtailing its initial weekend session (February 6th-9th). In response, Capcom announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session. The revised schedule is:

Thursday, February 13th, 7 PM PT / Friday, February 14th, 3 AM GMT – Monday, February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / Tuesday, February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended period. Despite the previous outage, beta testers engaged with the game's challenging new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
