Marvel Rivals Reveals New Stats and Most Picked Heroes

Marvel Rivals' First Month Hero Data Unveiled: Jeff the Land Shark Reigns Supreme, Mantis Dominates Wins

NetEase has released comprehensive statistics on Marvel Rivals character selection and win rates across all game modes. The data reveals surprising trends and hints at potential shifts with the upcoming Season 1.

Quickplay matches saw Jeff the Land Shark as the most frequently chosen hero. However, Mantis boasts the highest win rate overall, exceeding 50% in both Quickplay (56%) and Competitive modes (55%). This high win rate makes Mantis a top performer, surpassing even popular choices like Loki, Hela, and Adam Warlock.

Competitive play showed different favorites: Cloak & Dagger dominated on consoles, while Luna Snow reigned supreme on PC. These platform-specific preferences highlight diverse playstyles and strategies within the Marvel Rivals community.

The data also reveals a significant disparity in character popularity. Storm, a Duelist, suffers from extremely low pick rates (1.66% in Quickplay and a dismal 0.69% in Competitive), largely attributed to player feedback regarding her underpowered damage and frustrating gameplay. However, NetEase's announced Season 1 buffs for Storm may significantly alter her standing in the meta.

The introduction of the Fantastic Four in Season 1, starting with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman at launch, followed by The Human Torch and The Thing later in the season, promises to shake up the existing meta and potentially alter these statistics considerably. The upcoming balance changes and new heroes will undoubtedly impact character selection and win rates, making this initial data a fascinating snapshot of Marvel Rivals' early days.
