Marvel Rivals Reveals First Official Look at Blade

Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features Event Unveils Blade, Hints at Season 2 Content

Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features event quests have offered players a first glimpse at official artwork for Blade, fueling speculation about his potential arrival as a playable character in Season 2. Season 1 itself boasts new maps, a revamped game mode, and a compelling battle pass brimming with cosmetic rewards.

Accessible through the Season menu, the Midnight Features quests are structured into five chapters, each comprising three challenges. Completing these quests rewards players with Chrono Tokens, Units, and even a free Thor skin. While some challenges are currently time-gated, all five chapters are expected to be accessible by January 17th.

Chapter 3's reward, a Gallery Card depicting Blade facing Dracula, marks the first official confirmation of Blade's presence in the game, although his model had previously been discovered in game files. Season 1's narrative positions Dracula as having removed Blade and Doctor Strange from the conflict, deeming them significant threats.

The inclusion of Blade's artwork strongly suggests a playable role in Season 2. Many fans anticipate a Season 1 finale featuring the Fantastic Four's victory over Dracula, rescuing New York City, Blade, and Doctor Strange. Speculation abounds regarding Blade's potential class, with many believing he'd excel as a Duelist, potentially featuring a transformation ability similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimates – enhancing strength, modifying attacks, and granting wall-hack capabilities.

Further fueling anticipation, leaks from Season 0 revealed Ultron's complete ability kit, suggesting a Strategist role with healing and support capabilities. While initially predicted for Season 1, Ultron's introduction seems to have been postponed following the Fantastic Four's release. It's crucial to remember that leaks, while often accurate, remain unconfirmed until official announcements. The abundance of upcoming content keeps players enthusiastic about Marvel Rivals' future.
