The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is now undergoing stress testing. While some Sony console users had early access, players opting out of the test are advised to reinstall the game.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play between PC and consoles. Players with linked Larian accounts can team up regardless of platform. Remarkably, modded gameplay is also supported in crossplay, provided all mods used by the PC player are available on Mac and consoles, and the host's mod count remains below ten.

Xbox Series S users will finally experience split-screen co-op, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Further enhancements in Patch 8 include a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding significant depth and replayability. While Larian has addressed numerous bugs and rebalanced game elements, some issues persist. A comprehensive changelog for the stress test is accessible on the game's official website.
