Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the initial chapter of their new narrative adventure. Players can now experience Tape 1, with Tape 2 launching free to all owners on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close-knit group of friends shattered in the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.
Inspired by It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game expertly blends nostalgic charm with psychological thriller elements. The developers have structured the game into two parts: Bloom and Rage. Currently, only Bloom, the first half of this captivating mystery, is available (as of February 18th).
Rage, also known as "The Tape," will be released on April 15th. Its March release was postponed to guarantee a higher quality experience.
The review embargo has been lifted, with OpenCritic reporting an average score of 74/100, indicating a promising start for this gripping narrative.
