The official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally dropped, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the beloved characters brought to life. Maia Kealoha steps into the spotlight as Lilo, showcasing her interpretation of the role originally voiced by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. Alongside her, Courtney B. Vance delivers a compelling performance as the serious yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, while Billy Magnussen brings humor and charm to the role of Pleakley.
While Stitch has been a prominent figure in previous teasers, the new trailer puts Kealoha's Lilo front and center. We also get a closer look at the dynamic between Cobra Bubbles, Zach Galifianakis' Jumba, and Pleakley. Interestingly, the trailer hints at Jumba and Pleakley initially disguising themselves as humans on Earth, though we do catch a fleeting glimpse of Pleakley in his alien form.
The trailer recreates several iconic scenes from the original film, including Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his attempt to blend in as a dog at the shelter, and the poignant moment when Lilo explains, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, following closely on the heels of another Disney live-action adaptation, *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
