Lies of P: DLC and Sequel Announced – A Director's Message
Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated Lies of P fans to an anniversary message, combining gratitude with exciting teases for upcoming DLC and a sequel. The message, a heartfelt thank you to the community, also revealed details about the development process and the upcoming content.
Expanding the World of Lies of P
Choi acknowledged the team's hard work, describing their dedication amidst Korea's summer heat. He emphasized the continued support of fans as the driving force behind the DLC's development. The DLC promises to enhance the elements that made the original game successful while addressing previously reported issues. He stated the goal is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow." The message also extended gratitude to Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.
The most significant reveal was a piece of concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse. This image, along with a new musical piece from the DLC's soundtrack, hints at a new chapter in P's story filled with the game's signature blend of danger and intrigue. While the song, "Lisrim," was originally composed in 2022 by onoken, NEOWIZ owns the rights to both the original and the version included in the DLC. A music video featuring a clockwork-weapon wielding character rescuing a girl further emphasizes the game's aesthetic.
DLC Release and Sequel Confirmation
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. This release will coincide with several other NEOWIZ titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.
Previously released concept art showcased two distinct environments: an imposing industrial facility and a treacherous shipwreck. Choi assures fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, urging patience while promising that this DLC is only the beginning, with a full sequel also in development.
