Letterlike Is a New Word Game That’s Like Balatro But with Scrabble!

Wordsmiths, rejoice! A new roguelike word game, Letterlike, is here, blending the best of Balatro and Scrabble. Prepare for a unique mix of vocabulary and roguelike unpredictability – a truly novel combination!

Crafting Words in Letterlike

Letterlike's roguelike nature guarantees a fresh challenge with each playthrough, featuring procedurally generated letter sets and obstacles. The possibilities are endless, leading to countless victories.

Each game begins with a set of letters. Your mission: create words, earn points, and conquer levels. Each level unfolds in three rounds.

To progress, you must accumulate enough points by forming high-scoring words, similar to Scrabble. However, you only have five attempts (lives) per round, so choose your words carefully.

Facing a less-than-ideal letter combination? Don't fret! You can discard letters, but discards are limited, requiring strategic choices.

A handy rearrange mode allows you to drag, drop, and shuffle letters to optimize your word creation.

Letterlike's final round introduces a twist: a special ability renders some letters worthless, yielding zero points.

Earned points and rewards unlock helpful items to enhance your gameplay. Some buffs are automatic, while others require reaching specific levels. Collected gems also unlock powerful upgrades, easing future runs.

Ready to Play?

Letterlike offers a simple, minimalist, yet highly engaging experience. The shared seed feature lets you replay specific runs with friends, sharing the joy (or agony!) of particularly challenging letter combinations.

The game is ad-free with a one-time purchase and offers offline play. A free demo version is available, allowing you to test the waters before committing. Find Letterlike on the Google Play Store and give the demo a try!
