KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Servers Shut Down After 3.5-Year Run
Another gacha game bites the dust. KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially ended its service on January 30th. While a respectable 3.5-year run (compared to the Japanese version's 5 years), the game's closure comes after a period of declining revenue.
Despite the shutdown, the developers maintained active support until the very end, releasing voiced story updates and a final song just three weeks prior. A farewell livestream in December even featured Kazuma's voice actor. The Japanese version further demonstrated commitment by archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the game's content offline.
Unfortunately, the global version lacks an offline mode or dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel to relive the adventures of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the crew.
The developers have shifted their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game. This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next article covering Karrablast and Shelmet in Pokémon Go's February Community Day.
