The news broke during CinemaCon, where Adam Fogelson, chair of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, confirmed that the 60-year-old Keanu Reeves will once again step into the iconic role of John Wick. The project is in the early stages, with Thunder Road producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, along with franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and star and producer Keanu Reeves all committed to bringing another chapter to life. Although no specific release date has been disclosed, the anticipation is already building among the fanbase.
The decision to greenlight another installment in the John Wick saga comes on the heels of the monumental success of John Wick: Chapter 4, which grossed over $440 million worldwide. Each film in the series has not only met but exceeded the box office performance of its predecessor, a rare achievement in the film industry.
