The iPhone 16e replaces the iPhone SE (last updated in 2022), offering a closer design and spec profile to the standard iPhone 16. While priced higher than the SE ($429), at $599 it undercuts the standard iPhone 16 ($799) and the iPhone 15 ($699).
iPhone 16e Specifications
The iPhone 16e boasts a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch (not the Dynamic Island). It features the A18 chip (like the standard iPhone 16) but with a 4-core GPU. While potentially slightly less powerful, it supports Apple Intelligence and the new C1 cellular modem for improved battery life (up to 26 hours of video playback, compared to 22 on the standard model).
However, it lacks MagSafe compatibility, only offering Qi wireless charging. Color options are limited to black and white.
