Introducing Galarian Pokémon to Pokémon GO!

The Steely Resolve event in Pokémon GO, running from January 21st to 26th, marks the highly anticipated debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight. This follows the earlier tease of these Pokémon in the Dual Destiny Season loading screen.

This event is packed with activities:

  • New Pokémon: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight make their first appearance.
  • Special Research: A new Dual Destiny Special Research is available, offering unique rewards.
  • Field Research: Engage in Field Research tasks for additional rewards.
  • Shiny Pokémon: Increased chances to encounter shiny versions of various Pokémon, including Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Mareanie.
  • Increased Spawns: Boosted spawn rates for several Pokémon like Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Carbink.
  • Magnetic Lure Modules: These will attract Pokémon such as Onix, Beldum, Shieldon, and Rookidee.
  • Charged TM Utility: Use a Charged TM to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon.
  • Raid Battles: One-star, five-star (featuring Deoxys and Dialga), and Mega Raids will be available.
  • 2km Eggs: Hatch 2km eggs for a chance to obtain Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, or Rookidee (shiny possibilities).
  • Featured Attacks: Evolving specific Pokémon during the event will grant them unique powerful attacks (e.g., Corviknight learning Iron Head).
  • GO Battle Week: Running concurrently, this offers 4x Stardust from win rewards, increased daily battle sets, a free Timed Research with Grimsley-inspired avatar shoes, and varied Pokémon stats in GO Battle League rewards.

The Steely Resolve event also includes a $5 Paid Timed Research. The event's timing is: January 21st, 10 am to January 26th, 8 pm local time. GO Battle Week runs from January 21st, 12:00 am to January 26th, 11:59 pm local time. Various leagues will be active within GO Battle Week. This event follows other recent Pokémon GO activities, including the announcement of new Shadow Raids and Dynamax raids.
