Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Originally released by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022 for PC and consoles, the mobile port, currently in beta, is being developed by THQ Nordic and HandyGames for an imminent release.
Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?
While some graphical compromises are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to high-end PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included post-launch. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test via a signup form on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Is it the Top Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally within vast, open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, offering a 55-square-mile hunting ground. The game features authentic weaponry, from rifles to bows, and allows for detailed tracking using blood splatter and animal signs.
The game's ecosystem dynamically reacts to player actions. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, and the mobile version will offer full controller support. For more information, visit the official website.
