Mastering Mount Acquisition in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The expansive world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can initially feel overwhelming. Efficient travel is key, and that means acquiring a horse. This guide details two methods: reclaiming your original steed and acquiring a new one.

Reclaiming Your Horse
You can retrieve your starting horse, Pebbles, from the horse trader in Semine (south). However, securing Pebbles requires negotiation. You can pay Groschen, persuade him, or intimidate him. In my experience, progressing the main questline and acquiring finer attire (through working with Radovan) allowed me to persuade the trader without financial cost, though it did slightly impact my reputation. If persuasion fails, payment is required.
Stealing a Horse
Alternatively, you can steal a horse. Wild horses are rare. Instead, consider farms or stables. This carries the risk of capture.
I suggest targeting the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond (west). The fishermen there possess two horses. Simply mount one and ride away.
Next, visit the Nomads' Camp (east of Vidlak Pond). The horse trainer there can teach you to saddle and tame your newly acquired mount, though payment is expected. Alternatively, you can ride the horse unsaddled.
