Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), promising exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.
The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, 10:00 a.m. local time.
What Spooky Surprises Await?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially useful against Team GO Rocket or in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel - Electric-type, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel - Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost) mid-battle, depending on its Charged Attack.
During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in GO Battle League's premium track, and afterwards will be available from Rank 16 onwards (though still more common in premium battles).
A Spooktacular Halloween Celebration!
The game will feature special Halloween decorations. Fans of the Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly during the event. Here's a sneak peek:
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research event focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
