Completing the main quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be a stressful experience, especially with the time-sensitive nature of sneaking through unfamiliar areas. This quest follows directly after "Wedding Crashers," where you find yourself imprisoned in Trosky and facing the imminent execution of Hans at the twelfth bell toll. Fortunately, Henry is assigned labor duties around the castle, providing a slim chance to save Hans. Here’s a detailed walkthrough to ensure you complete this quest successfully.

Hauling Sacks

Your first task is non-negotiable: you must haul sacks to a shed. Begin by taking a sack from the wagon and transporting it to the nearby shed, which is adjacent to the fenced area. Drop the sack inside the shed, and repeat this process until the objective is complete.
Help the Blacksmith

Next, assist the blacksmith, who isn’t thrilled about your help but instructs you to forge a horseshoe. Head through the archway opposite the blacksmith to find the forge. Gather the necessary materials and craft the horseshoe. Once approved by the blacksmith, proceed down the path you used for hauling sacks to reach the stables and deliver the horseshoe.
Help Fanka the Cook

After the horseshoe delivery, it's time to aid Hans. Return to the forge and grab a lockpick from the red pot on the shelves. Engage with the nearby woman, Fanka, who is a cook in the noble’s kitchen. Offering your assistance grants you access to the kitchen. Follow Fanka there; although you don't need to lockpick it, doing so boosts your reputation and earns you a standing invitation for food.
Speak with the Chamberlain

Upon entering the kitchen, you'll notice the chamberlain suffering. Talk to him and attempt to persuade him to let you brew a Digestive Potion. Success grants you access to the surgeon’s workshop; otherwise, you’ll need to sneak in.
Make Fever Tonicum

If you couldn't convince the chamberlain, grab some food from the kitchen to distract the guard and sneak into the workshop. If you did, head directly to the surgeon’s workshop via the stairs opposite the forge, entering the common kitchen area. Locate the guard, offer him the food to make him leave, and then proceed upstairs to the workshop. Here, craft the Fever Tonicum and, if applicable, the Digestive Potion using the ingredients from the chest.
Cure Thomas

If you helped the chamberlain, return to him with the Digestive Potion to secure access to Thomas’s room. Otherwise, prepare for more sneaking. Return to the noble’s kitchen, ascend the stairs to bypass additional guards, and stay crouched as you move. When you encounter a guard at the base of a staircase leading to Thomas, distract him with a pebble and sneak past. Continue to Thomas’s room, where you'll find him in bed with his sister, Adele. Give her the Fever Tonicum to trigger the quest-ending cutscene.
By following this guide, you’ll successfully complete "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Helping Thomas before the bells toll 12 times will boost your reputation, but the quest's outcome remains unchanged regardless of timing.
