Gotham Knights: A Nintendo Switch 2 Debut?

The Resume Revelation

Gotham Knights Potential Switch 2 ReleaseOn January 5th, 2025, YouTuber Doctre81 ignited speculation. Their report, based on a developer's resume, suggests Gotham Knights is in development for two currently unannounced platforms. This developer, employed by QLOC from 2018 to 2023, listed various titles including Mortal Kombat 11 and Tales of Vesperia, but the inclusion of Gotham Knights, earmarked for two unreleased consoles, is particularly intriguing.

One platform could be the original Nintendo Switch, given its past ESRB rating. However, performance issues on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S might have stalled that release. The listing of a second unreleased platform strongly points towards the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Remember, this is all based on unconfirmed information. Neither Warner Bros. Games nor Nintendo have made any official announcements.

A Past ESRB Rating and its Implications

Gotham Knights and Nintendo SwitchInitially released in October 2022 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X, Gotham Knights received an ESRB rating for the original Nintendo Switch, fueling speculation of a release. Some even predicted a Nintendo Direct announcement. This rating, however, has since been removed from the ESRB website.

While the original Switch port never materialized, the past rating, combined with the recent YouTube report, keeps the possibility alive for a Switch 2 launch.
