Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, some less apparent than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline. Instead, they're valuable sellable items, and there are five to find.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), the Vaal city at its zenith. Within Utzaal and the connected area of Aggorat, these idols are hidden. They're not enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Discoveries
Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll buy your idols for a substantial sum:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Finding all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Given their limited inventory space and sole purpose as high-value items, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery to free up space.
